Super Simple Cowl! - Free Crochet Pattern

Hey hookers! (; I hope you all are enjoying the weekend, and also taking time to do some hooking around as well. In my last post I showed you a cowl that I made. I kind of made it up on my own. After a few requests, I decided to write out the pattern! I wanted something breathable and not too heavy, but still have it be able to keep you warm when being out in the cold!

This cowl is perfect for early fall, and you could even get away with wearing it indoors or just as a fashion accessory!

Materials
N Hook
Bulky Yarn (I forgot what brand I used for this project)
Tapestry Needle (to weave in ends)

Make a chain long enough to comfortably (loosely) fit around your head. Slip stitch to the first chain (being careful not to twist it) to create a loop.

Round 1: Ch1, SC in each ch around. Sl st to first sc to complete round.
Round 2: Ch 5 (Counts as first DC + 2 chains), skip next 2 stitches, DC in next st. *Ch1, Sk 1 st, DC in next st. Ch 2, Sk 2 st, DC in next st.* Repeat ** to end of round. Sl st to 3rd beginning Ch to complete round.
Round 3:  Sl St to next ch 2 space. Ch3 (Counts as first DC), DC in same space as Ch3. *Ch 1, DC in next ch1 space. Ch 1, 2 DC in next Ch2 space.* Repeat ** To end of round. Sl st to first DC to complete round.
Repeat rounds 2-3 until your cowl is the desired length.
Round 4: Ch 1, SC in each stitch around. Sl st to first SC and fasten off. Now just weave in your ends and you're done!

So easy right?! And now you have a warm, cozy cowl, in less than an hour! Enjoy!!
