A week after sending them an email about my blog, I got back a response. 2 days later I was jumping up and down as my package arrived in the mail. There's nothing I love more than a good surprise, especially when it comes to yarn!
- Two skeins of Red Heart Reflective in Orange and Grey
- Two skeins of Red Heart Anne Geddes Baby Yarn in Rosie and Spearmint
- One skein of Red Heart Boutique Swanky Yarn - Purple Panache
- One skein of Red Heart Boutique Sassy Fabric in Red Leopard
- One large Red Heart Tote
It looks lovely all laid out like that doesn't it? I almost always take pictures of the yarn I bring home from the store (or in this case got for free!). Is that weird? There's just something about a full unused skein of yarn. Just waiting to be made into something great.
Where do I even begin?? Well I just had to try out the reflective yarn, which is surprisingly soft and cozy! At first it feels rough (the strand of reflective stuff), but the softness of the yarn outweighs the scratchiness and you can't even feel it once the project is completed.
I decided to make myself a slouchy hat, the pattern will be released shortly! In the mean time I took some shots to show how the reflectiveness of the yarn works. Its pretty cool!
I made a large slouchy hat for me, and still have about 1/3 of each skein left! I'm not sure what I am going to do with it yet, but I'll probably save it for a rainy day (: If you get a chance to check out the Red Heart Reflective Yarn
line, I highly recommend buying a skein or four!
I haven't had time to dive into the rest of the yarn yet, but I have some awesome plans for it, don't you worry! Be sure to visit me on my Facebook page, I usually post previews of the finished products before I publish the pattern!
awesome blog. thanks for sharing
